PhlebectomyBack To Gallery
This female patient was displeased with the appearance of large veins on the backs of her legs. After an ultrasound with our Ultrasound Technician, Frances, and a consultation with Dr. Mountcastle, it was decided that she would be a good candidate for venous treatment. A phlebectomy procedure was recommended(bulging vein removal), this is usually completed in our office using local anesthesia. Incisions are tiny (stitches are generally not necessary) and typically leave imperceptible puncture mark scars. Post-operative discomfort is minimal. Compression stocking is worn for a short period for best results.
