Amy Herrmann, R.N.: “BOTOX® and fillers are for people who are seeking a kind of facial rejuvenation without actually going through with a surgery. BOTOX® is great for wrinkles along the forehead and around your eyes. It’s minimally-invasive; it’s this tiny needle prick that most people are very comfortable with bearing. Fillers are a good way to add volume to your face without having a face lift. They add volume around your nasolabial folds, around your cheeks, they fill in your forehead lines… what’s great about these procedures is that you can come in and get your BOTOX® and be out and about in 15 or 20 minutes. You can come in and get your fillers in about 30 minutes and you’re right back out. Filler usually kicks in right then – you may have a little bit of bruising or swelling right afterwards, but typically you see your results almost immediately. BOTOX® takes about two days to two weeks, and with BOTOX®, there’s very minimal bruising. With fillers, there’s maybe a little bit more. I’ve done BOTOX® on people from age 18 to people in their mid 60s, and everyone is just ecstatic afterwards. They love it. It’s something that people come back for.”
