The feelings that patients often experience after having a procedure done at Mountcastle Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery are often life changing and overwhelming.
Betty Patrick – Patient: “It just does so much for your mind. Because if you look good, you feel good.”
Cathy Maloney – Patient: “I have never felt better about myself. I have never looked better in my whole life. So he gave me back a sense of ‘Wow!’ in my life that had been missing for a long time.”
He is Dr. Timothy Mountcastle, a Virginia native who was trained at James Madison University in Virginia, Howard University Medical College in Washington, D.C., and at his general and plastic surgery residencies at LSU in New Orleans for seven years. He currently serves as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Inova Loudoun Hospital, and as Medical Director of Radiance Med Spa in Fairfax.
Dr. Mountcastle has several offices conveniently located here in Ashburn, Leesburg, and Reston in Northern Virginia. His primary location in Ashburn is close to Redskins Park and Dulles International Airport. Thousands of patients visit Dr. Mountcastle because of his precision and skill at the variety of unique procedures he performs. He is one of the few plastic surgeons in the entire area who treats patients with vein problems.
Dr. Timothy Mountcastle: “I treat both varicose and spider veins, and all the pathologies that it causes.”
Dr. Mountcastle also specializes in body procedures, like Tummy Tuck, laser liposuction, and breast surgery of all kinds.
Dr. Mountcastle: “From breast reconstruction to breast augmentation to breast reduction… a unique thing to my practice is that I do accept insurance. Most plastic surgeons in the Northern Virginia area do not accept insurance. This allows my patients to not have to pay as much out of pocket to have their plastic surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery procedures.”
That’s comforting to patients who often come in the door with a wide variety of questions and anxieties about the plastic surgery experience.
Dr. Mountcastle: “Every patient comes in very anxious. Surgery is a big deal. I sit back with patients, I explain everything to them, I show them pictures, I’ll go over the entire process, and they leave in a much more comfortable state.”
Cathy Maloney – Patient: “He made me feel so comfortable, and at ease, and I felt like I was talking to a family member. About something that was so personal.”
Dr. Mountcastle’s staff also help patients, by taking their time during the consultation process and by making sure that every question a patient has is answered. In fact, this team has a mantra: that every patient deserves our undivided attention and should be treated with dignity and respect.
Amy herrmann, R.N.: “The staff is amazing. Everybody here works very closely together. We’re a very small practice. We’re all familiar with all of the patients. We’re kind of like a big family, actually.”
Ashley Jannette, L.P.N.: “We really care about them, we do. We care about each and every one of them.”
It’s that kind of care, combined with years of practical experience helping patients of all kinds look and feel better about themselves, that makes this plastic surgery team special.
Dr. Mountcastle: “Plastic surgery, and some of the surgeries that I do, are very gratifying. From melanoma to breast reduction, seeing a patient come in, and seeing the smile on their face is… that’s why you do plastic surgery. To see those end results, to see those patients come in happy… those are the types of plastic surgery you like to do.”
